Your privacy is important.
I adhere to strict standards in confidentiality. I will never use any of your work in other publications or research work or divulge the contents of your work to third parties.
Your name or samples of your work will never be used for online content without your written consent.
No one will get their sticky Internet fingers on your email address from me.
Information from your financial institution is shared only with PayPal — I never see it.
Do you charge by the hour or by the project?
Costs are quoted by the project (not per hour, and not per page).
Project price will depend not only on the length of your project, but its complexity and what we agree on for the scope of work.
I’ll provide a written project quote that will include the cost, a description of what you will receive, and when you will receive the work.
What happens if a project runs over the initial quote?
You may decide as the work develops that you need a new angle.
If you need to introduce new ideas or material into the work after we agree on the quote, I’ll ask you to work with me to revise the time and cost required to incorporate new material or complete any additional revisions.
What has to happen before we begin work on a project with you?
First we’ll discuss your project to determine what you want to accomplish, how long the work will be, and your intended audience.
Once we decide what you need done, and when, I’ll provide a signed project quote that will include the cost, scope of work, and delivery date. If you are part of a team, I’ll ask you to designate one team member as my contact person.
If you agree to the terms, you’ll sign and return the project quote to me.
One-half the fee is due at the beginning of the project. The remaining half will be due net 30 days from when I return the project to you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
For international clients, payments are accepted through PayPal. PayPal accepts payments in most major currencies.
United States residents may pay by check or through PayPal.
How can I contact you?
There’s no obligation for your initial consultation. Please call or write, and we’ll set up a 15–30 minute call to see how we could work together on your writing project.
Tell me about your project—length, deadlines, publisher’s expectations—and what you need me to do.
If you’re not sure what you need, please email the manuscript to elaineeldridge [at] ymail.com or upload via the contact form below and we can decide together what you need done.
Once I know more about your project, I will give you a firm price.
Asking questions about working together does not obligate you in any way.
